Member of the Month, March 2018

Liberty Science Center ( is a 300,000-square-foot museum in Liberty State Park near the Statue of Liberty. More than 650,000 people ages 2 and up visit Liberty Science Center each year to enjoy the power, promise, and pure fun of science and technology. They can explore 12 galleries of outstanding exhibitions where they can try hands-on laboratory science experiments, see massive aquarium tanks filled with huge fish, visit a mini zoo brimming with strange and exotic animals, and take a cosmic voyage in the Western Hemisphere's largest planetarium, the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium. The more adventuresome can walk an I-beam 18 feet above the floor, climb 35 feet into the air on a series of small platforms, or crawl through an 80-foot long, pitch-black maze. For those who prefer something more relaxing, there are live science demonstrations, 3D and giant dome films, and twin Tesla Coils that create vivid indoor lightning displays. In warmer months, head outside to challenge our obstacle course or dig through 40 tons of sand to unearth dinosaur bone casts. Liberty Science Center has experiences for ages 2 and up and specializes in student and travel including seniors and performance groups.
